Field & Root Microgreens was founded by Neta Bodrug in St. Thomas, Ontario, with a simple belief: real food should be nourishing, accessible and easier to make part of everyday life.
Neta first discovered microgreens through local growers and quickly came to appreciate their freshness, versatility and the possibilities they brought to everyday meals. When those growers later left the area, she saw an opportunity to keep fresh, locally grown microgreens available in her community.
What started small grew into Field & Root Microgreens, a certified organic vertical farm supplying fresh microgreens to families, retailers and professional kitchens across Southwestern Ontario.
And eventually, growing microgreens led to a new question:
Could we make the microgreens we grow easier to enjoy every day?
From field to fuel.
That question became MicroFuel™.
Fresh microgreens are at the heart of what we do, but their short shelf life doesn't always fit easily into everyday routines. We wanted another way to enjoy the microgreens we already grow — one that was simple, versatile and easy to keep on hand.
So we took our certified organic microgreens, freeze-dried them and finely ground them into a convenient powder.
The result is MicroFuel™: real microgreens in a convenient new form.
