Field and Root Microgreens was founded by Neta Bodrug in St. Thomas, Ontario, with a simple belief: real food should be both nourishing and accessible. What began as a passion for growing fresh microgreens for family and community evolved into a commitment to creating thoughtfully made products that fit naturally into everyday life.
Neta first discovered microgreens through local growers who introduced her to their nutritional value, freshness, and versatility in everyday meals. When those growers later left the area, she recognized a growing need within the community and felt inspired to continue making fresh, locally grown microgreens accessible throughout St. Thomas and Southwestern Ontario.
What started small quickly grew into Field and Root Microgreens, a business rooted in quality, education, and a genuine passion for preventative wellness through real food.

MicroFuel™ was created by Field & Root with a simple goal: make the benefits of certified organic microgreens easier to incorporate into everyday life.
What began with growing fresh microgreens for local families, chefs, and retailers evolved into a search for a format that could preserve freshness, simplicity, and versatility beyond the shelf life of fresh greens.
